ENG v WI 2020: Jofra Archer, Tino Best indulge in a heated Twitter exchange

The argument started after Tino expressed surprise at Jofra's inclusion over Stuart Broad in the 1st Test against West Indies.

Jofra Archer and Tino BestEngland speedster Jofra Archer on Friday (July 10) indulged in a heated Twitter exchange with former West Indies fast bowler Tino Best.

The argument started after Tino tweeted that he can’t understand how Jofra is playing in the ongoing Southampton Test against West Indies over seasoned campaigner Stuart Broad.

He further said that Archer isn't extracting significant pace, too, defending Broad on his dejection at being dropped.

"Honestly why Archer playing before Broad chaaaaa fair is fair tho,  cause u have Wood bowling 90+ , And he’s bowling the same pace as Broad , I have no problem with Broad being pissed #EngVsWI ..... that’s not fair at all," Tino wrote.

However, the comments didn’t go down well with Archer and he taunted Best in his quoted reply.

"With all this knowledge how are you not a coach yet ?" the England pacer retorted.

Tino Best also responded aggressively as he wrote: "Don’t address me personally Young man , the fact remains your bowling toothpaste and u haven’t bowled Quickly since ASHES , now go sleep and get some rest for WI to beat ya ball in the second innings bye Jorfa."

Archer, who is playing his 8th Test for England, remained wicketless on Day 3 of the Southampton Test. He bowled 22 overs and conceded 61 runs as West Indies took a lead of 114 runs in the first innings over the hosts.
