Even though Babar Azam's outstanding ton went in vain as Australia eventually prevailed with an innings and five-run victory in the Brisbane Test this Sunday (November 24), the youngster did enough to promise of a new dawn in Pakistan cricket and earn rich praise from everyone around the world. 

Babar came out to bat in the second innings with people doubting his ability in Australian conditions because of struggles last tour and a poor shot in the first innings and Pakistan 25/3 still trailing behind by 335 runs. 

However, undeterred he batted with a lot of flair and style against the likes of Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon especially in a magnificent sixth-wicket 132-run stand with wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan, who himself scored a career uplifting 95 while leg-spinner Yasir Shah contributed nicely with a 42 batting at No.8. 

Once those guys went, it was only a matter of time before the Aussies would ramp home and they did to go 1-0 up in the two-match series. 

But it was Babar's 104-run knock that certainly overshadowed everything else for its sheer quality, the dominance with which he batted and was rightfully the talking point for cricket fraternity over the social media.
