Cricket West Indies (CWI) on Saturday (August 17) selected Darren Bravo and John Campbell in the 14-man West Indies ‘A’ squad which will take on India in a three-day warm-up match, starting on Saturday (August 17) ahead of the two-match Test series.

Bravo and Campbell are also a part of the West Indies squad for the opening Test, starting August 22 in Antigua. This series will see both West Indies and India starting their World Test Championship campaign.

The West Indies ‘A’ squad will be led by Leeward Islands Hurricanes wicketkeeper batsman Jahmar Hamilton. It also includes players like Jeremy Solozano, Akim Fraser and Romario Shepherd who played against India ‘A’ last month.

As far as the India squad is concerned, Test specialists Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane along with speedster Jasprit Bumrah will look to get some quality game time before the two-match Test series.

With skipper Virat Kohli picking up a thumb injury after being hit by a Kemar Roach bounder during the third ODI, the team management is likely to rest him before the World Test Championship opener.
