Completing a 3-0 whitewash over New Zealand in an absolutely dominating fashion in Brisbane this Wednesday (October 7), Australian women pulled off their 21st straight ODI win and in the process, matched the record created in the format by their countrymen under Ricky Ponting's leadership in 2003.
The team led competently by Meg Lanning have now gone undefeated in the format since October 2017. The winning-run includes series victories above Pakistan, England, West Indies, Sri Lanka and New Zealand.

Even though Lanning missed the third one-dayer because of a hamstring injury, which she sustained while scoring a hundred and sealing the series 2-0 this Monday, she was delighted how her girls finished off in style, winning by an eye-raising margin of 232 runs.
"It's nice to finish off with a big win today. It's a really special effort, especially over a long period of time. To win 21 on the trot is a great effort and something we're really proud of," she said while receiving the trophy, as quoted by AP.
In Lanning's absence, stand-in captain Rachael Haynes led from the front, scoring a magnificent 96 off 104 balls. She shared an opening stand of 144 runs with Alyssa Healy (87), who herself struck a wonderful half-century.
The team's middle-order also rallied behind as the hosts posted a gigantic total of 325/5 in 50 overs.
Only Amelia Kerr (3/50) and Holly Huddleston (2/62) had figures to speak of among the visiting bowlers.
The domination continued in the second half for the Aussies, with Megan Schutt (2/25), Jess Jonassen (2/16), Ashleigh Gardner (2/11) and Sophie Molineux (2/6) taking eight wickets between them to dismiss the White Ferns for just 93 in 27 overs, one of their lowest totals.
In an embarrassing scorecard, only Amy Satterthwaite (41) proved some saving grace, with just Maddy Green (22) reaching double digits among other batters.
