Bangladesh is all set to become second women's team to visit Pakistan in 2019 after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday, 30th August announced that they will be hosting the Bangladesh Women’s team in October-November.
Pakistan Women’s will be playing three T20 Internationals and two ICC Women's Championship one-day internationals against Bangladesh Women’s in Lahore later this year.
Before Bangladesh, West Indies had toured the country for three T20Is in Karachi in January.
The PCB confirmed in a media release, “This tour, which will be Bangladesh’s second in the last four years, provides another breakthrough to the PCB in its efforts for the full restoration of international cricket in the country, especially after Sri Lanka Cricket’s decision to send their men’s team for three ODIs and as many T2oIs in Karachi and Lahore, starting next month.”
Meanwhile, Bangladesh women, who last toured Pakistan in 2015 for two T20Is and as many ODIs, will touch down on 23 October for the tour with all matches of the series scheduled at the same venue – Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
