Pakistan U-19 secured a 6-wicket win over Afghanistan U-19 in the quarter-final of U-19 World Cup 2020 at Willowmoore Park, Benoni on Friday. They chased down a target of 190 runs with 53 balls remaining in the innings.

The game got special attention because of a mankading dismissal in Pakistan's chase. It was their opening batsman Mohammad Huraira who got mankaded by Noor Ahmad of Afghanistan in 28th over of the match.

Ahmad removed the bails at the non-striker’s end with Hurraira out of his crease. The bowler appealed and the decision was sent to the third umpire. After a while, the batsman was given out on 64 runs, which has triggered a debate on social media.

Huraira's innings didn't go waste as Pakistan won the match and he was awarded man of the match for his innings.

Those who don't like the mankading rule call it against the spirit of cricket. They want the rule to be scrapped. The debate was fired up during the last IPL when England’s Jos Buttler was mankaded by R Ashwin.
