Veteran Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has decided to say goodbye to the international cricket, revealed on Monday (March 30) that his Pakistan career will end this year.
The 39-year-old is currently played only white-ball cricket for Pakistan having already retired from Test cricket in 2018 with 3652 runs and 53 scalps in his 55 appearances in whites.
The all-rounder has so far featured in 218 ODIs and 91 T20 Internationals for Pakistan and his most recent international appearance came against Bangladesh in the home T20 series in February. He has 6614 ODI runs and 1992 T20I runs along with 139 and 54 wickets respectively to his name.
Hafeez further revealed his big ambition to play for Men in Green in the forthcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2020 in October-November in Australia before calling time on his international career.

As per reports in PTI, Hafeez said in an interview: “After World T20 I have decided I will retire from international cricket and just focus on playing in T20 leagues.”
The right-hander further said he has not yet decided what he would like to take up after his retirement from the game, but it “could be coaching”. He signed off by saying: “It could be coaching, I don’t know when the time comes, I will make up my mind.”
