Pakistan chief selector and head coach Misbah-ul-Haq has on Tuesday (March 3) hinted that former skipper and wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfraz Ahmed could be recalled to the national set-up after the ongoing fifth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020.

Impressing with his show in the ongoing PSL 2020, Misbah, former Pakistan captain, said the 32-year-old is on track with his fitness which could lead to a possible national call-up soon while revealing that Sarfraz is under consideration for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2020 in Australia.
Misbah told Geo News, “Sarfaraz has been playing very well in the PSL 2020 and he is also fit. While he is in consideration for the World Cup, there will be matches after the PSL to decide which player will get the call.”
Noteworthy, Sarfaraz was removed as Pakistan captain as well as was dropped from the national squad in October last year because of his poor fitness and declining performance.
