The third match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 saw Sri Lanka women take on New Zealand women at the WACA ground in Perth. New Zealand Women won the toss and elected to field first.

Skipper Chamari Atapattu top-scored with 41 while Harshitha Madavi made 27* and Hasini Perera made 20. Sri Lanka managed 127/7 in 20 overs, while Hayley Jensen (3/16) and Amelia Kerr (2/21) were the picks of white ferns’ bowlers.

In reply, captain Sophie Devine led from the front, making 75* in 55 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes. She got support from Bates (13) and Maddy Green, who made 29 in 20 balls. New Zealand women reached the target in 17.4 overs with 6 wickets to spare.

Hayley Jensen was named Player of the Match.
