As the ICC Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup 2020 just a few days away, Rohit Sharma, vice-captain of India men's white-ball team, has extended his greetings for the Women in Blue for the mega event starting February 21 in Australia.

The Indian opener further said there’s no stopping for the Women in Blue, as the Star Sports has launched new campaign #TakeOnTheWorld, featuring 16-year-old Shafali Verma, ahead of the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup 2020.

Taking to Twitter on Thursday (February 13), Rohit has shared the new commercial on his official micro-blogging handle and urged the fans to cheer for India Women, as the Harmanpreet Kaur-led Women in Blue are gearing up for the mega-tournament in Australia.

He said in a tweet: “It’s time for ICC Women’s #T20WorldCup and there’s no stopping the Women in Blue, as they #TakeOnTheWorld. Kyunki naam wahi karte hain jo koi mauka nahi chhodte!”

Noteworthy, India had a great preparation for the mega ICC event in the recent T20I Tri-series against the hosts Australia and England, and they were looking to go to the World Cup 2020 with a trophy but the tournament hosts couldn’t get them the desired result.

India Women is all set to kick start their T20 World Cup 2020 campaign against the hosts and defending champions – Australia in the tournament opener on February 21 in Sydney.
