The people of Mumbai turned up in large numbers as Team India’s T20 World Cup 2024 victory parade started at Nariman Point on Thursday (July 4) evening.

The team embarked on an open bus trophy tour throughout Mumbai, allowing fans to catch a glimpse of their favorite stars and the coveted trophy.

Such was the craze that a fan climbed a tree and started making videos of the World Cup champions from close quarters.

Here are the videos:

There was also a heart-warming moment between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, with the duo lifting the trophy together during the parade.

After beating South Africa in the T20 World Cup 2024 final last Saturday (June 29), the Indian cricket team was left stranded in Barbados due to Hurricane Beryl.

The adverse weather condition had forced the authorities to shut down air travel, resulting in the Indian contingent staying indoors in their hotel for three days.

With the weather finally clearing in Barbados, the Men in Blue left the Caribbean shores on Wednesday (July 3) and landed in Delhi on Thursday morning amid the rousing reception.

In the national capital, the team was felicitated by the honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
