India defeated Bangladesh by 50 runs to continue their winning run in T20 World Cup.

Rohit Sharma | XIndia captain Rohit Sharma was seen very animated on the field during the Men in Blue’s 50-run win over Bangladesh in ongoing T20 World Cup 2024. This match was played in Antigua and saw India registering their second win Super 8s stage.

India had been asked to bat first and thanks to unbeaten fifty by Hardik Pandya and contributions from Virat Kohli and co, India posted 196/5 in 20 overs. In reply, Bangladesh could only manage 146/8 in 20 overs with Najmul Hossain Shanto top-scoring with 40.

Kuldeep Yadav shined with 3/19, while Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh took 2 wickets each.

Kuldeep had just dismissed Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan when the veteran batter tried a cross-batted shot off a loopy delivery from Yadav. Bowling to new batter Mahmudullah, Kuldeep darted one in, short and Sharma was not pleased with the change in plan and asked Yadav to keep faith and let the batters try to go for the cross-batted shots.

Kya hai, khelne de na yaar. Abhi abhi aaya hai, aada maarne de na, ek out hua hai aada maarne se (What is it, let him play. He has just come in, let him play the cross-batted shot, one got out just now with the cross-batted shot),” Rohit can be heard telling Kuldeep.

On the other hand, Rohit Sharma, who rarely is seen animated after a wicket falls, was seen very aggressive after Litton Das got out.

Actually, it was sort of a revenge to the send off Bangladesh pacer Tanzid Sakib gave Virat Kohli, after the great batter was dismissed. He aggressively stared at Kohli as the batter made his way back to the pavilion before joining his teammates in the celebration.

Then when Litton Das got out, Rohit Sharma was seen pointing at the batter and mouthing some expletives.
