Former Pakistan captain and legendary pacer, Wasim Akram, said that he would really like to see Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in action in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
There are speculations about Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli's T20I future that they are no longer part of Team India’s plans in the shorter format of the game. However, Akram stressed that the Indian selectors must pick Kohli and Rohit in their squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup in 2024.
Notably, the former and current captain of the Indian cricket team has not played a T20I match for the Men in Blue since their T20 World Cup semi-final loss in November 2022.
Wasim Akram was quoted as saying by Sportskeeda: “T20 World Cup is just a few months away. I will pick both. They will be the main players for India, no doubt about it. You need a little bit of experience in T20. You cannot solely rely on young guy.”
