The most awaited India versus Pakistan clash in the T20 World Cup 2022 is currently being played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Asked to bat first, Pakistan posted 159/8 in their allotted 20 overs. Shan Masood was the top scorer with 52 not out off 42 balls.
During his knock, one of Masood’s shots hit the spider cam, which probably could’ve been a catch for Hardik Pandya. No wonder, the Indian all-rounder was left frustrated after the turn of events.
The incident took place in 15th over of Pakistan’s innings when the southpaw went for a hit off R Ashwin’s ball. Pandya was looking to take the catch but the spider cam deflected the ball and eventually cost India a crucial wicket.
While Hardik couldn’t control his emotions and shouted his heart out, India skipper Rohit Sharma too looked disappointed with the incident.
Here’s the video:
Coming to the match, Hardik Pandya (3-30) and Arshdeep Singh (3-32) were pick of the bowlers for India, picking three wickets each. Bhuvneshwar Kumar (1-22) and Mohammad Shami (1-25) also bowled economically and returned with one scalp each.
