Former Pakistani speedster Shoaib Akhtar was seen having a chat a Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly during the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 final between Australia and New Zealand in Dubai.
After the weeks full of entertainment, T20 World Cup 2021 concluded with Australia thumping New Zealand by 8 wickets in the final to lift their first-ever ICC T20I Trophy.
While star-studded Australian and New Zealand sides were playing on the field, some legends of the game were present in the stands to witness the summit clash of the tournament.
Shoaib Akhtar, who was arguably one of the best pacers of his time, met former Indian cricketer and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly along with Mohammed Azharuddin.
The former pacer took to his official Twitter account and posted a picture with Ganguly, saying that he enjoyed meeting ‘old friend’ and an on-field rival.
"It was lovely running into an old friend and on-ground rival. And ofcourse BCCI chairman @SGanguly99. Also legendary @azharflicks in the picture," Shoaib Akhtar tweeted.
