India's hopes for the semi-finals qualification rely on whether Afghanistan defeat New Zealand or not in their last group stage match on Sunday (November 7) in the T20 World Cup 2021. 

For India to qualify, they must beat Namibia on Monday and ensure a healthy run rate just in case Afghanistan defeats New Zealand by a big margin. If Afghanistan couldn't win, it will be all over for India even if they secure their last match.

Former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar said questions will be raised on social media if New Zealand fail to win against Afghanistan in their Super 12 match. Akhtar said he wants to avoid any controversy but New Zealand will be under scanner if they don't win against Afghanistan.

"If New Zealand lose to Afghanistan, then many questions will be raised. Let me warn you beforehand, many questions will be raised. I fear it would start another trending news on social media. I don't want to get into more controversies, I don't want to talk on these topics but the sentiments of Pakistan people are too high at the moment about New Zealand," Akhtar said on his YouTube channel.

"I think New Zealand is a better team than Afghanistan, god forbid, if they don't win, there will be a problem, no one will be able to stop what's being said on social media."

Pakistan cricket fans were trending 'fixed match' after India's win over Afghanistan. Even some renowned journalists and Pakistani actors were pointing fingers at Afghanistan's poor performance.

"I really think this tournament has headed to an interesting phase. India coming back has made the tournament come back alive. There is a chance now that India will play Pakistan again. We have to wait and see. It will be good for cricket and good for the youngsters if that happens," Akhtar said.

"If India gets knocked out, it will be quite demoralising. They have played good cricket but they have played it late."
