Ish Sodhi removed both Kohli and Rohit for cheap | GettyIndian cricket team let down all of their fans everywhere with their dismal batting performance in the crunch match against New Zealand in Dubai on October 31st. It is a virtual eliminator match for both teams and India lost the advantage, after being asked to bat first.

Kane Williamson won the toss and Virat Kohli’s boys walked into the bat first. India made two changes with Ishan Kishan and Shardul Thakur coming for Suryakumar Yadav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Adam Milne came in for Tim Seifert for New Zealand and Devon Conway took the keeping gloves.

Ishan Kishan hit one boundary but was out caught off Trent Boult for 4. KL Rahul was dismissed for 18 runs off Tim Southee and Rohit Sharma looked good for his 14 runs but was outfoxed by leggie Ish Sodhi.

Shakib Al Hasan ruled out of T20 World Cup 2021 due to hamstring injury

Indian captain Virat Kohli struggled to find a rhythm and his 17-ball 9 run knock was mercifully cut short by Ish Sodhi. Rishabh Pant made 12 in 19 balls as New Zealand bowlers dominated in middle overs as they failed to hit a single four or six from overs 7-16.

Ravindra Jadeja made 26* to take India to 110/7 | GettyHardik Pandya tried to do something, but fell for 23 in 24 balls, while Shardul Thakur scored a duck. Ravindra Jadeja (26*) saved some face in the end as India posted 110/7 in 20 overs.

Trent Boult picked 3/20 and Ish Sodhi took 2/17 in their 4 overs respectively putting New Zealand in the driver’s seat.

The various cricket experts on social media were unhappy with the way the Men in Blue batted and rightfully criticized them on Twitter.
