Pakistan got an upper hand in their high voltage match against India in Dubai on October 24 as the Indian subcontinent giants clashed in the T20 World Cup 2021. Babar Azam gave Pakistan a huge advantage as he won the toss and chose to bowl first.
Pakistan chose to go with two spinners in Imad Wasim and Shadab Khan, with Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik for support, while India went with Varun Chakravarthy along with Ravindra Jadeja as spin options.
Left-arm seamer Shaheen Afridi gave Pakistan the perfect start by getting Rohit Sharma LBW for a golden duck on the 4th ball of the first over. After a good start by Imad Wasim, Afridi was brought back for his second over and struck on the first ball, clean bowling KL Rahul for 3 runs, leaving India 6/2 in 2.1 overs.

This left the cricket fraternity a bit shocked as former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan and Pakistani bowling great Wasim Akram reacted to the dream start Pakistan got thanks to Shaheen Afridi’s brilliance.

Meanwhile Wasim Akram praised Afridi by tweeting, “Shaheen you little beauty . #PakVsInd”
