India’s 2007 T20 World Cup-winning off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has backed the current bowling attack to deliver the best for the Indian cricket team in the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021.

India’s batting line-up is packed with big-hitting batters and unorthodox stroke-makers, but Harbhajan feels the current bowling line-up will give Team India an edge in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021.

He further explained that India’s bowling attack, comprising of the likes of R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammad Shami, and Jasprit Bumrah, is more than capable of defending any target if the batters manage to post over 140 in the global tournament.

Harbhajan said on the Salaam Cricket 2021: “Batting first, 170 will be a very competitive total on the pitches of the UAE. And with the bowling line-up, India have they can defend any target. If India scores anything above 150, they can bank on this bowling attack to deliver them the match.”

He added, “India’s bowling will give them an edge over other teams in the T20 World Cup. With the likes of Bumrah, Varun Chakravarthy, Jadeja, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, it is a class bowling line-up. I will back the Indian bowling attack to defend even 140 at the Sharjah pitch. But again, in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, it will be different. Those two grounds are high scoring.”

Noteworthy, India will start their T20 World Cup 2021 campaign against Pakistan on October 24.
