Former India spinner Pragyan Ojha and leggie Amit Mishra have said that mystery Indian spinner Varun Chakravarthy would be a huge challenge for the Pakistani batters when the two archrivals collide on October 24 in Dubai in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2021.

Ojha pointed out that Chakravarthy has the ability to take wickets in any situation for the team and he can deliver at any stage. India has gone in with a spin-heavy attack comprising of the experienced Ravindra Jadeja and R Ashwin, the exciting Varun Chakaravarthy, and leg-spinner Rahul Chahar for the tournament.

"Both Ravindra Jadeja and Varun Chakravarthy bring different dimensions. Chakravarthy has the wicket-taking ability in any situation," Ojha said at Salaam Cricket 2021.

On the other hand, Amit Mishra believes Pakistan batsmen will find mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy difficult to read and play on 'slow' UAE pitches. Varun had an exceptional IPL 2021 with 18 wickets from 17 games at an economy rate of 6.5 and the best bowling figures of 3/13.

"Indian cricketers have found it difficult to read Varun Chakravarthy despite being very good players of spin bowling. Pakistan players have not even seen Varun bowling. And on these UAE wickets, which will get drier in the next one month, Pakistan players will find it difficult to deal with Varun," Amit Mishra said while speaking at Salaam Cricket 2021 in Dubai.

"We got inspired from Bhajji Pa. We used to see him working very hard on the nets every day. Bhajji played for so long and we too have followed him. Actually, we got the fighting spirit from him so I would like to thank him," Mishra added.
