India captain Virat Kohli and wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant engaged in a fun banter ahead of the 2021 T20 World Cup. Kohli made Pant realize his responsibility going into the mega ICC event.
Kohli told Pant that sixes win you matches in T20 cricket, to which, the youngster replied he's practicing every day and reminded the Indian skipper of MS Dhoni's winning six in the 2011 World Cup.
"Rishabh, sixes win you matches in T20 cricket," Kohli told Pant. "Don't worry bhaiya, I am practicing every day. It was a wicketkeeper that won India a World Cup by hitting a six," Pant replied.
Kohli joked that India hasn't found another wicket-keeper like Dhoni since his retirement. "Yes, but India have not got a wicketkeeper like Mahi bhai since then," he said.
The India skipper further pull Pant's leg and said there isn't an assurance of him playing in the warm-up matches. "See I have a lot of wicketkeepers, let's see who plays in the warm-ups," he added.
India will play England and Australia on October 18 and 20 respectively in the warm-up matches ahead of the tournament.
