WATCH - Mumbai Indians players congratulate Rahul Chahar, Ishan Kishan for selection in T20 World Cup squad

All-rounder Krunal Pandya couldn't make it to the 15-man T20 World Cup squad.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday (September 8) announced the Indian cricket team squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup in UAE and Oman. Mumbai Indians (MI) youngsters Rahul Chahar and Ishan Kishan made it to the 15-man squad.

The IPL franchise shared a video of Rahul and Ishan sharing the moment of joy with their teammates in Abu Dhabi. They are currently in UAE ahead of the IPL 2021's second phase.

Krunal Pandya can be seen hugging the Jharkhand captain while he was checking his phone. "This video has got us all ???????????? Smiles and hugs all around for our Pocket Dynamo after his inclusion in the ???????? T20 World Cup squad ???? #OneFamily," wrote MI while posting the video of Ishan.

Even Rahul was delighted after the team announcement and he shared the news with his MI teammates around him. "Priceless! That moment when you read your name in the World Cup squad! ????????????," wrote Mumbai Indians. 

"It took a lot of hard work, World Cup is a very big thing, you get few chances to represent your country in tournaments like these so I am excited and a little emotional," said Chahar in the video.

Apart from Ishan and Rahul, the other MI players who feature in the squad are captain Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, and Jasprit Bumrah.
