Pakistan skipper Babar Azam was happy with his team’s performance in South Africa and feels that the preparations for the upcoming T20 World Cup in India are going in the right direction.
“The series has helped us try out different combinations and I think we are on track in our preparations for the World T20 Cup, by which time we will have our squad ready for the big event,” Babar said.

Even though Pakistan’s middle order didn’t perform as expected, the right-hand batsman who led Pakistan to their first-ever T20 series win by 3-1 in South Africa and also captained his side to a 2-1 victory in the ODI series is satisfied with team’s performance.
“Yes, it is frustrating that our middle and lower-order batsmen couldn't perform to expectations, but cricket is a team game and not everyone can perform in every match. I think as a team we did well,” he said after the match at Centurion.
Pakistan, who were 92/1 while chasing a target of 145 had a batting collapse as they lost six wickets before eventually winning the 4th T20I by three wickets.

“It is always difficult for those coming in after the top-order batsmen get out. I think we just needed one partnership to settle things, but that didn't happen. It's great to win both the white-ball series in South Africa and this will give us lot of confidence for the coming matches,” the 26-year-old said.
According to reports, the Pakistan team is set to be granted visa by the Indian government for the upcoming prestigious tournament.
