The Pakistan side led by skipper Babar Azam will have no difficulty travelling to India this year as the team is set to be granted visas by the Indian government owing to ICC T20 World Cup in October. The BCCI secretary Jay Shah has informed the Apex Council about the government's decision on giving visas to the Pakistan players.

Even though the players are granted visas, whether the fans will be able to travel across the border to see their team in action is still unclear and will be decided soon.

The visa issue of Pakistan cricket team has been sorted. However whether the fans can travel across the border to watch matches is still not clear. It will be decided in due course of time. However, we had promised ICC that it will be sorted. The secretary announced during the meeting,” an Apex Council member told PTI.

The BCCI has finalized the nine venues where the World T20 will be hosted with the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad hosting the final of the showpiece event.

The other venues are Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Dharamsala.

The two neighbouring countries have not played a bilateral series since 2012-13 due to political tensions between the two countries.

Thus, it will be exciting if Virat Kohli and his men take on Babar Azam and Co. in the upcoming tournament in October.
