India skipper Rohit Sharma landed in Sri Lanka on Sunday (July 28) night to take part in the three-match ODI series, slated to get underway on August 2 in Colombo.

Alongside Rohit, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Kuldeep Yadav, and Harshit Rana also reached the island nation. The ODI squad members have reportedly started training to prepare for the 50-over series.

Meanwhile, a video has emerged on social media where Rohit can be seen having a chat with former Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews.

The two seasoned campaigners spent quite a few minutes talking to each other before Rohit walked back to the dressing room.

The other members of the ODI squad will assemble with Rohit and Co. after the third and final T20I in Pallekele on Tuesday (July 30).

Having won the first two T20Is, the Suryakumar Yadav-led Indian team has already taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

The ODI series will be the first assignment of Rohit Sharma and Gautam Gambhir together as India captain and coach.
