Indian batters Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav and Sanju Samson have extended congratulatory messages to the legendary Rohit Sharma on becoming a father again.
During India’s fourth T20I against South Africa in Johannesburg on Friday (November 15), several media reports claimed that Rohit was blessed with a second child as his wife Ritika gave birth to a baby boy.
While India’s ODI and Test skipper is yet to confirm the news, his teammates have passed on their best wishes.
In a video shared by the BCCI on its official website, the trio of Tilak, Suryakumar and Samson spoke about the newest member arriving in the Sharma family.
Tilak congratulated Rohit, stating that he would come and meet the family after landing in India. Samson echoed similar emotions as he said he was super happy for Rohit and his family.
“Really very happy, Rohit Bhai. We’ve been waiting for this moment. Had it been late, I would have been there with you. But, I’m coming soon to meet you and meet the little one," Tilak was heard saying in the video.
On the other hand, India’s T20I captain Suryakumar shared a light-hearted message, saying a new cricketer has arrived for whom he needs to get small-sized pads and gloves.

Coming to the fourth T20I, India registered a thumping 135-run victory over South Africa to clinch the series 3-1.
Riding on unbeaten hundreds from Tilak Varma (120* off 47) and Sanju Samson (109* off 56), the Men in Blue racked up a mammoth 283/1 in their allotted 20 overs.
In reply, the Proteas innings folded for 148 in 18.2 overs. It was a listless batting display as no one managed to touch the 50-run mark.
Arshdeep Singh starred with the ball for India, claiming three wickets by conceding 20 runs in his three overs. Axar Patel and Varun Chakaravarthy picked up two scalps each while Hardik Pandya, Ravi Bishnoi and Ramandeep Singh returned with wicket apiece.
