The Freedom Series Trophy was shared as Test series ended 1-1 | GettyIndian team became the first Asian side to win a Test match in Cape Town as they chased down the 79-run target successfully on day 2 of the second Test against South Africa. With this win, they also leveled the two-Test series 1-1.

South Africa had batted first after winning the toss but crumbled to 55 all-out. Mohammed Siraj took 6/15 while Jasprit Bumrah and Mukesh Kumar pocketed two wickets each.

In reply, India was bowled out for 153, despite being 153/4 at one stage. This was the first time ever in Test cricket history that a team lost their last 6 wickets for 0 runs. But this was enough for India to gain a 98-run lead on a treacherous pitch in Newlands.

Aiden Markram then starred with an amazing century as South Africa posted 176 runs in their second innings, but they could only manage to set a 79-run target for India.

Yashasvi Jaiswal made a quick 28 with 6 fours and Rohit Sharma remained unbeaten on 16 as India won the match by 7 wickets in hand. This match proved to be the shortest in Test history with only 642 balls being delivered in the match.
