India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah pulled off a brilliant caught and bowled to dismiss South African all-rounder Marco Jansen on Day 2 of the second Test at Newlands, Cape Town.

During the 24th over of South Africa’s second innings, Bumrah bowled a fuller delivery which was mishit by Jansen.

The right-arm quick then showcased his exceptional reflexes as he plucked a brilliant catch in his follow-through. Jansen stood still in shock for a few seconds before making his way back to the pavilion for 11 off 9 balls.

Coming to the match, Mohammed Siraj starred with the ball for India on Day 1 of the Cape Town Test. The right-arm quick ran through the Proteas batting line-up, returning with his career-best figures of 6/15 to bundle out the hosts for a mere 55 in the very first session of the Test match.

At this stage, it seemed that India would walk with the game but South Africa bundled out the visitors for 153 to restrict the lead to 98 runs.

At the close of play, South Africa were reeling at 62/3 in their second innings, trailing India by 36 runs.

In the morning session on Day 2, Bumrah wreaked havoc on the Proteas batting line-up, taking a five-wicket haul to reduce them to 164/9 at the time of writing this article.
