Team India on Monday (January 1) arrived in Cape Town for the New Year’s Test against South Africa, slated to get underway on January 3.

The tourists will be eyeing a redemption after losing the first Test match in Centurion. India endured an innings and 32-run defeat in the Boxing Day Test to concede an unassailable 1-0 lead to South Africa in the two-match series.

BCCI shared a video of the team’s travel day on social media as players wished everyone a “Happy New Year”.

Before coming to Cape Town, Rohit Sharma and his men toiled hard in the practice session at SuperSport Park, Centurion.

The Cape Town Test will be the last match of India’s tour to South Africa and the visitors will look to level the series and kick-off the new year on a positive note.
