India’s all-format tour of South Africa kicked off with a drawn T20I series. Now, the Men in Blue will face the Proteas in a three-match ODI series, starting on December 17 in Johannesburg.

Ahead of the opening ODI, the visiting team led by KL Rahul had an intense net practice session at the Wanderers Stadium.

On Friday (December 15), the BCCI shared a video on X (formerly Twitter), in which players were seen fine-tuning their skills.

Spinners Akshar Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal, pacer Arshdeep Singh and skipper KL Rahul were among the players seen sweating it out in the nets.

"Our ODI group has arrived in Johannesburg! Preparations have begun. 1st one-day on Sunday. #TeamIndia #SAvIND," the BCCI captioned the video.

India’s regular ODI skipper Rohit Sharma and star batter Virat Kohli have been rested for the white-ball leg of the South Africa tour.

The ODI squad features promising youngsters such as Rinku Singh, Sai Sudarshan, Sanju Samson, and Rajat Patidar.
