India’s top batter Virat Kohli reached New Zealand for the upcoming series of five ODIs, which will start on November 4. The first match is planned in Auckland, and Kohli reached Auckland’s International Airport from Mumbai, where he was preparing for the series.
Some other players of India’s ODI team, such as KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, and Rohit Sharma, have already reached Auckland. It is noteworthy that on Thursday, Shubman Gill was spotted training with the Indian T20 team in Auckland.
Kohli got straight into practice mode after reaching Auckland and was seen doing running drills for warm-up and did some batting practice indoors due to rain.
Later, Kohli linked up with the Indian ODI squad and was seen batting in the nets alongside fellow veteran Rohit Sharma. The two looked at ease against pacers and played both defensive and aggressive shots.
The first game will be played in Auckland on November 4. The second game will be played in Wellington on November 7, the third in Hamilton on November 10, and the fourth and fifth in Mount Maunganui on November 13 and 15.
