Virat Kohli’s Team India registered their first-ever T20I series win in New Zealand after a scintillating super over victory in Hamilton match.

Both teams had ended up on 179, with Rohit Sharma (65) and Virat Kohli (38) starring for India and Kane Williamson (95) doing the same for the New Zealand side. Both the teams chose bowlers for the super over, who didn’t have the best of the night, with Bumrah going for 45 runs and Southee giving away 18 runs in the 20^th over of Indian innings.

Meanwhile, Williamson hit Bumrah for a six and four in the super over and with Guptill adding one four, Kiwis put on 17 runs on the board. The New Zealand team fancied their chances with Rahul managing just one four on the 3^rd ball of their super over.

But Rohit Sharma backed his instincts and skills, to launch Southee for two sixes off the last two balls and won India the super over and the match. He was named Man of the Match and India won the series as well, going 3-0 up with two matches to go.

The Indian team was ecstatic with Kohli and co. running onto the field after the victory and celebrating the win whole-heartedly. The players also took to Twitter and shared their joy and we have some tweets for you.
