India won the first T20I of the five-match series against New Zealand at the Eden Park in Auckland. It was a tough match for the visitors, as they chased down 203 runs, despite best efforts of Kiwi bowlers. The second match will also be played at the same venue.
The match was a crackerjack of an encounter and much is expected from the second match as well. Therefore, Team COC presents to you the Predicted Playing XI for Team India in the second T20I match against New Zealand in Auckland.
NZ v IND 2020: "Loving it", KL Rahul says he relishes the dual responsibility
Though Rohit Sharma failed to fire in the first match, everyone knows what he is capable of doing. KL Rahul and Virat Kohli showed that they can dismantle any and all bowling attacks during the tough chase in the first match. However, the revelation came from Shreyas Iyer, who played an amazing match-winning inning of 58* and showed that he was capable of finishing matches from a tough spot.
Ravindra Jadeja and Yuzvendra Chahal did their best in trying to keep the scoring rate down and even managed to pick a wicket as well. But the best bowler by far was Jasprit Bumrah, who on a small ground, kept the runs to a bare minimum. The same cannot be said for Mohammad Shami, who went for more than 50 runs, while Shardul Thakur fared even worse.
The only change expected in the Indian team may be Navdeep Saini, who didn’t play in the last game due to jet-lag, replacing Shardul Thakur. The match is an important one, as a win here will give the Indian team a big edge over their opponents.
COC Predicted Team India Playing XI:
Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul (WK), Virat Kohli (C), Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammad Shami, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah, Navdeep Saini
