The Indian team will play the first ODI of the three-match against New Zealand at Eden Park in Auckland on Nov 25 and have been preparing well for the series, especially after winning the T20Is 1-0 under Hardik Pandya’s leadership.
Shikhar Dhawan will take over the captaincy in ODIs with Rishabh Pant being his deputy. A few debuts are expected in the bowling department when the Men in Blue take on the BlackCaps in the first match.
Ahead of the match, members of the Indian team made a ‘super fan’ Divyaansh’s day special, as the likes of Rishabh Pant, Umran Malik, Washington Sundar, Deepak Chahar, Shreyas Iyer, and Shardul Thakur met the young differently-abled fan and posed for photos with him.
The BCCI shared a video of the same on their Twitter handle, with the caption reading: “A moment to savour for #TeamIndia's super fan, Divyaansh after some memorable interactions in Auckland ahead of the #NZvIND ODI series”
With 11 months left for the marquee event in India, the series will give the team an early idea about some of the middle-order slots and also the bowling arsenal. The first ODI is on Friday (25 November), the second on Sunday (27 November) and the third on Wednesday (30 November).
