Hasin Jahan, estranged wife of India pacer Mohammad Shami, has accused the cricketer of neglecting his daughter Ayra’s education. She also alleged that Shami was spending lakhs on the education and entertainment of his mistress and her kids.
The accusations came to light following Jahan's Instagram posts on the issue. Shami pays her Rs 4 lakh in alimony each month, which includes Rs 2.5 lakh set aside expressly for their daughter's expenditures.
Jahan's social media post claims that Ayra was just accepted to a prominent international school.
"The enemies did not want my daughter to get admission to a good school, but Allah foiled their plans, and she has secured admission to a very good international school," Jahan wrote on Instagram.
Jahan further said that Shami lavishes money on his girlfriend and her kids, paying for pricey school admissions and business class airfare.
"The father of my daughter, despite being a billionaire, is playing with her life because of womanizing while educating his mistress' children in elite schools. He spends lakhs on business class flights for some mistresses but claims he has no money for his own daughter's education," she stated.
Since their 2014 marriage, Shami and Jahan's relationship has been tainted by legal issues and public accusations. In 2015, their daughter Ayra was born.
Meanwhile, after not being picked for the Indian squad for the England Test tour owing to fitness issues, Mohammad Shami will be gearing up for a return for the East Zone in the Duleep Trophy 2025.
