
The BCCI announced the India U19 squad on May 22, 2025. The squad will travel to England for a five 50-over matches and two multi-day matches starting June 30. The India U19 will also play a warm-up game before the limited overs series begins.
17-year-old Ayush Mhatre of Mumbai has been named the captain of the squad, which also includes teenage IPL sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Abhigyan Kundu will be the vice-captain and wicketkeeper.
“The Junior Cricket Committee has picked India’s U19 for the upcoming tour of England, scheduled from June 24 to July 23, 2025. The tour comprises a 50-over warm-up match, followed by a five-match Youth One-Day series and two Multi-Day matches against England U19,” the BCCI statement read.
India's U-19 team will benefit from the tour as they get ready for the U-19 World Cup in Namibia and Zimbabwe in January of next year. The last time the India U-19 squad played was at the Asia Cup in the United Arab Emirates in December of last year, where Bangladesh defeated them in the final.
