On March 24, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed the annual player contracts for India's women's cricket team for the 2024-25 season.

Players in Grade A, B, and C receive Rs 50 lakh, Rs 30 lakh, and Rs 10 lakh, respectively. However, they are paid the same match fees as male cricketers: Rs 15 lakh for every Test, Rs 6 lakh per ODI, and Rs 3 lakh per T20I.

India's skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, vice-captain Smriti Mandhana, and all-rounder Deepti Sharma have been awarded Grade 'A' contracts.

In a release, the BCCI said, "The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the annual player contracts for Team India (Senior Women) for the 2024-25 season (October 1st, 2024 to September 30th, 2025)."

Renuka Thakur, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh, and Shafali Verma have all been placed in the 'Grade B' category.

Shafali has kept her position after being withdrawn from the white-ball squad following poor performances at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 in the UAE. She has done well in domestic cricket, including the just-finished Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025.

Shreyanka Patil, Titas Sadhu, Amanjot Kaur, and Arundhati Reddy are the new names receiving Grade C contracts. Apart from these names, Yastika Bhatia, Radha Yadav, Uma Chetry, Sneh Rana, and Pooja Vastrakar also received Grade C contracts.

Big names missing from the central contracts are Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Harleen Deol. Opening batter Sabbineni Meghana, pacer Meghna Singh, and left-arm pacer Anjali Sarvani were also absent from the new list.

Here is the list of BCCI-contracted Indian women cricketers:

Grade A: Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, Deepti Sharma

Grade B: Renuka Thakur, Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, Richa Ghosh

Grade C: Yastika Bhatia, Radha Yadav, Shreyanka Patil, Titas Sadhu, Arundhati Reddy, Amanjot Kaur, Uma Chetry, Sneh Rana, and Pooja Vastrakar.
