Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh and Washinton Sundar were the big movers on the latest ICC Men's T20I Player Rankings following strong performances for India in the first match of the three-T20I series against Bangladesh.
India defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets after bowling out the visitors for 127 runs. Then India chased down the total with ease inside 12 overs to register a thumping win. India also went 1-0 up in the three-match series.
Arshdeep Singh and Varun Chakravarthy combined for six wickets, while all-rounder Hardik Pandya was the major architect with the bat, scoring a quickfire 39* throughout the chase.
Pandya's 16-ball knock included five fours and two enormous blockbusters, propelling the all-rounder seven places to 60th overall in the latest T20I batting rankings, trailing only No.1 rated Australian Travis Head.
He also took a wicket with the ball, propelling him up four places to third overall in the latest T20I all-rounder rankings, closing in on England's Liam Livingstone (first) and Nepal's Dipendra Singh Airee (second).
Arshdeep Singh picked three wickets and moved to joint eighth on the updated list for T20I bowlers. All-rounder Washington Sundar gained four places to move to 35th on the same list, with experienced spinner Adil Rashid still holding on to the No.1 ranking.
