Rishabh Pant | BCCI-IPLDecember 30, 2023 marks a year since Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant met with a horrific car crash on the Delhi-Dehradun expressway.

A year after his car accident, Pant’s IPL franchise Delhi Capitals (DC) posted a video on social media, in which the likes of Akshar Patel, Ricky Ponting, David Warner, Pravin Amre shared their reactions on hearing the news about the wicketkeeper’s accident.

Rishabh Pant also talked about his recovery in the video while DC’s Director of Cricket Sourav Ganguly wished him best for the upcoming IPL season.

“365 Days since that fateful night. Every day since then has been nothing but full of gratitude, belief, self-care, hardwork and a never-give-up approach towards making a roaring comeback in the game that runs thick through his veins. Here's to seeing the unorthodox, audacious, live-by-the-sword Rishabh Pant 2.0 in action very soon,” Delhi Capitals captioned the video.

Rishabh Pant was last seen in action during the tour of Bangladesh in December 2022. Mirpur Test against Bangladesh was his last appearance before he met with the accident.

While there is no clarity on his comeback yet, reports are claiming that the left-hander might return to action by early next year and will take part in the 2024 edition of Indian Premier League.
