In a remarkable achievement, Indian spinner Ravi Bishnoi became the No. 1 ranked T20I bowler, reaping the rewards of his stellar performances in the recent T20I series against Australia at home.
The Men in Blue won the five-match T20I series with a resounding 4-1 margin, and Bishnoi was the leading wicket taker in the home series with nine wickets to his name against Australia. He was also the Player of the Series.
Bishnoi's stellar rise saw him replace Afghanistan's Rashid Khan at the top spot with an impressive 699 rating points, as he made a significant jump from his previous 5th spot in the ICC T20I Rankings for the players.
This accolade makes him the second Indian to claim the No. 1 spot in the ICC T20I rankings, with Suryakumar Yadav retaining his position as the top-ranked batter in the latest rankings.
