Virat Kohli and Mohammad Amir | TwitterFormer Pakistani bowler Mohammad Amir has shared his picks for his favorite batters and bowlers in the world today.

Amir named current Pakistani captain Babar Azam as one of his favorite batters, while he then picked India legend Virat Kohli and young sensation Shubman Gill as his next two picks.

While Babar is counted among one of the best batters in the modern era, Kohli is a bonafide legend in white-ball cricket over the past decade and more. On the other hand, Shubman Gill, despite his young age, has made many records in international cricket, including a double-ton in ODIs.

"Virat [Kohli], Babar is my favorite apart from T20s. He is my favorite in Tests and ODIs. Finally, Shubman Gill, as I feel he will be the next big thing for India in future, if he maintains his current form," Amir was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan on his YouTube channel.

He then named his three favorite bowlers in Trent Boult and Mitchell Starc, while he picked young Naseem Shah as someone to watch out for.

"[Trent] Boult, he is number one for me, then Naseem Shah. These are bowlers, who I feel are complete bowlers and can play all formats. And third, would be Mitchell Starc," he added.

Indian team has a month of a break after the WTC 2023 final and will then fly to West Indies for a complete tour of 2 Tests, 3 ODIs, and 5 T20I matches.
