KL has been surprisingly out of form this season. For the past 5 seasons, he has amassed 500 runs without fail. No one has scored more runs, 50s, or 100s than him since 2018.
Livingstone had a magnificent season last year for Punjab and was their mainstay in batting with 437 runs at a humongous SR of 182. Moreover, he is a deadly asset with the ball and can bowl both off and leg spin at his will.
Bowler 1 & 2- Ravi Bishnoi and Nathan Ellis
We have the liberty of choice given the depth of the bowling attack of LSG in D3. Bishnoi has been one of the best bowlers so far this season. . He was one of the 3 signings of LSG before the auctions. 2/31, 3/28, and 1/16, 0/39 are his figures so far in the season. Bishnoi v Short and Livingstone is the matchup that will swing the game in either LSG’s or Punjab’s side.
Punjab has erred in benching Ellis for Rabada. Rabada has been poor in T20 formats over the past year even though he has been among wkts. Last match he completed 100 wkts in 64 games and became the fastest bowler to do so but Nos can be misleading sometimes. Ellis with his 4 fer looked like a more all-round bowler so far. Arshdeep is also a better option in this regard since he has been striking regularly in Powerplay.
