The Indian T20 league commences on the 31st of March with defending champions Gujarat locking horns with Chennai. There are 10 teams divided into 2 groups. Each team will play 2 games against every team in their group and 2 games against one team in another group and only 1 game with the rest of them. Captains can name the teams after the toss and substitute a player ( impact player rule ). A total of 70 league games will be played 2 qualifiers, one eliminator, and the Final. The Home and Away schedule is back after 4 long years. 

The rule allows a team to bring in an Impact Player at any point in an inning to replace a player from the XI after the toss.

Dependable Picks for Rario D3 Predictions 

Batters 1 & 2- Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Herschell Gibbs ( OG batter 4) 

A top-order batter should be your blind pick in D3 and first priority. Bhanuka Rajapaksa was a revelation last year when he impressed all with his approach and strokeplay. He had a lion's share in SL winning the Asia Cup by scoring 190 runs at an SR of 140. His biggest strength is taking down any kind of spin. He is batting at 3 & scored runs in the opening game.

The openers in the SRH camp have disappointed so far. Even Tripathi has not been among the runs after the fabulous 2021 and 2022 seasons. Our pick should be the SRH skipper who led the Sunrisers team in SA 20 to the championship. He has been in surreal form lately with a 100 in all 3 formats and has an SR of 150 for his national side. In addition to that, he is a handy off-spinner. 

Bowlers 1 & 2- Nathan Ellis and Umran Malik

We have the liberty of choice given the depth of the bowling attack of SRH in  D3.  Umran Malik holds the record of most wkts by a pacer in middle overs in a season. And in absence of Livingstone, he could actually run through the middle order of Punjab. 

Ellis was the man of the match in his last game with a 4 wkt haul. It's going to be a task for Punjab to leave him out for Kagiso Rabada. We can also have Arshdeep who has been among wkts in the powerplay in the 1st 2 games. 

Last 2 picks- Sam Curran and Harry Brook

Curran should be a no-brainer in D3.  One of the finest all-rounders in the league. Sam Curran’s return to intl cricket after a long hiatus was nothing less than a dream. Since his comeback, he has scalped 26 wkts from 17 games and was MoM in the final as well as MoS in T20 WC. 

Though he has been disappointing so far in the 2 games he has played you cannot overlook someone like Harry Brook with over 2k runs at an SR of 150 in the format. He is the biggest match-winner on his day.

Batters 1 & 2- KL rahul and Faf du Plessis 

Again going by the thumb rule, a top-order batter should be your blind pick in D3. 

Faf has been in some surreal form off late with 177 runs at an SR of 143 in BBL and became the 1st centurion in SA 20. He scored 369 runs at an average of 41 (2nd highest). He was the MoM in the opening game for his 73. 

The safest picks in the entire league when it comes to picking top-order batters who are consistent. KL Rahul has managed to pile up 500+ runs 5 times in a row now since 2018. No one has scored more runs, or more 50s than him since.

Bowlers 1 & 2- Ravi Bishnoi and David Willey

One of the best leg spinners to have in D3. LSG would be expecting the same from Bishnoi and they will bring him on against Kohli and DK who have a weakness against leg spinners and especially what happened in the last game against KKR. He was one of the 3 signings of LSG before auctions. 2/31, 3/28, and 1/16 are his figures so far in the season.

RCB did not miss the absence of Topley as Willey ran through KKR’s top order, he was also the best batter considering how he was picking the spinners from their hand. RCB should promote him up in the batting order as he regularly opens for his domestic side. 

Last 2 picks- Glenn Maxwell and Kyle Mayers 

This Australian all-rounder is a must-pick in your D3. No one has scored more runs than Maxwell since 2021 at a better SR. His bowling adds immense value and he is the most important cog in that middle order. 

Mayers is the only batter to score 2 50s in his 1st 2 innings. He has an SR of 187 and bowls regularly in Powerplay. A must pick in D3.
