The Indian T20 league commences on the 31st of March with defending champions Gujarat locking horns with Chennai. There are 10 teams divided into 2 groups. Each team will play 2 games against every team in their group and 2 games against one team in another group and only 1 game with the rest of them. Captains can name the teams after the toss and substitute a player ( impact player rule ). A total of 70 league games will be played and 2 qualifiers, one eliminator, and the Final. The Home and Away schedule is back after 4 long years.
The rule allows a team to bring in an Impact Player at any point in an inning to replace a player from the XI after the toss.

A top-order batter should be your blind pick in D3. OG batter 1 has been piling up runs in all 3 formats at the international level for the past 8 months and has scored 7 100s. He also improved his t20 game and registered his 1st t20i 100 on the same venue against New Zealand not so long ago.
Ruturaj Gaikwad is coming off an incredible home season in VHT and SMAT scoring 660 runs at 113 SR and 295 runs at 146 SR respectively. He did not have a great season last year but was the orange cap winner in the season before. We can also bank on Devon Conway.
Bowler 1 & 2- Rashid Khan and Manpreet Gony (OG bowler 4)
Rashid Khan should be your automatic choice and probably the 1st pick in D3. He is arguably the greatest t20 bowler with more than 500 wickets. He is the only bowler to take 15+ wkts in 7 consecutive seasons. Moreover, he adds immense value with the bat. He won a thriller against the same opposition last year.
OG bowler 4 held the record of most wkts in Powerplay since 2018. He is the spearhead of the bowling attack in absence of Bravo who retired after last season. Given Tewatia and Kane’s record; Moeen could also be a crucial factor in middle overs.
Last 2 picks- Alzarri Joseph and Dwaine Pretorius
We can also take a punt on Alzarri Joseph who is just coming off an amazing tour of SA where he was the highest wicket-taker in all 3 formats. Interesting pick in D3. Or we should opt for the safer route in Rahul Tewatia. Tewatia closed out so many games last year with the bat and was the mainstay of their middle order along with Miller.
