Najam Sethi confirmed that PCB and interim Punjab government came to a solution.

CCTV cameras from Gaddafi stadium along with cables and batteries stolen| TwitterIn what can only be called a bizarre case, CCTV cameras, which were installed for security measures in the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore for the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2023), worth millions of PKR, have been reportedly stolen.

Along with the cameras, the fiber optic cable for closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras, batteries of generators installed for lighting at Gaddafi Stadium and other things have also been stolen, all of which have been valued at PKR 10 million.

ARY news has reported that The situation prompted the authorities to lodge a complaint at the Gulberg police station.

On a good note, the situation about PSL 2023 matches in Lahore and Rawalpindi were in the doldrums due to a standoff between the PCB and the interim Punjab government, has been reportedly solved as PCB chief Najam Sethi tweeted that the PSL matches at both venues will be played as per schedule.

Reports had said that the total cost of the security arrangements that are to be made at the venues stands at around PKR 500 million. However, the Punjab government is reportedly only willing to pay PKR 250 million and wants the PCB to take care of the remaining 50 percent of the expenses.

Sethi tweeted: ''CM Punjab Mohsin Naqvi Saheb has been kind enough to agree to share cost of lighting routes during PSL matches in Lahore. HBl PSL8 matches in Lahore and Pindi shall continue as scheduled.”

Matches in Lahore are scheduled to start on February 26, while Rawalpindi will host the PSL matches from March 1.
