Once touted as India’s future batting superstar, Prithvi Shaw’s career has been marred by a number of controversies in the last few years.
Earlier this week, Shaw once again found himself in a fresh controversy over clicking of selfies with some fans in Mumbai.
In a video doing rounds on social media, social media influencer Sapna Gill and her friends were involved in a scuffle with Shaw after he allegedly denied selfies.
Notably, the lady had accused Prithvi Shaw and his friends of physically abusing her outside the five-star hotel in Mumbai, where the cricketer was dining with his friends.
Sapna Gill further claimed that she never asked for a selfie while also alleging that Shaw hit her on her chest and arms.
Amid the controversy, Shaw has received support from his childhood friend Arjun Tendulkar – son of the Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar.
Shaw and Arjun have been friends since U-14 days and the latter extended his support through a couple of Instagram stories.
"Stay strong boy, always with you through good and bad times @prithvishaw," Arjun posted.
He also shared a picture from the U-14 days with Shaw.
Prithvi Shaw recently returned to India’s T20I squad for the home series against New Zealand. However, he didn’t get an opportunity as the Men in Blue opened with Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan in all three games.
