Ihsanullah | GettyMultan Sultans fast bowler Ihsanullah, who made his Pakistan Super League (PSL 2023) debut recently and took a fifer in only his second match against the Quetta Gladiators, has said that he wants to make his Pakistan debut against India in the upcoming World Cup and take a fifer as well.

The 20-year-old rattled the Quetta batting lineup by taking 5/12 in 4 overs and helped Sultans bowl them out for 110 runs. Later, Rilee Russouw made 78 runs to take the Mohammad Rizwan-led side to the win by 7 wickets.

Hailing from Khyber Agency, Ihsanullah produced speeds upto 152 km/h to upset the opposition batters and never allowed them to settle. His hostile fast bowling spell was the fastest in terms of average speed (144.37 kph), going past Haris Rauf's previous record of 144.16 kph against Peshawar Zalmi last year.

After the match, Ihsanullah spoke with Samaa TV and talked about his dream debut for Pakistan.

"In domestic cricket, Abdul Rehman supported me who is our coach. Haider bhai retained me, I thank him and he got the reward for retaining me. I wish I can make my debut against India in the World Cup and take a five-wicket haul. I want to concede 35 runs in 10 overs and get five wickets and hopefully win the match for Pakistan, I'll be very happy," he said.

The young quick is hopeful of producing a similar performance against the Babar Azam-led Peshawar Zalmi side.

"I bowled according to the plan given to me by the coach, and this is why I got wickets. Hopefully I will get a five-wicket haul in the match against Peshawar Zalmi,” he added.
