Phillips has been in outstanding form this year in white-ball cricket earning him a spot in the ICC men’s t20i team of the year. He scored a 100 and a quickfire 60 in the t20 WC. He has 2 t20i 100s. He has been quiet with the bat in 1st 2 games but adds immense value to the squad with his bowling and fielding. He bowled 4 overs in the last game and gave away just 17 runs.

The issue most Indian batter face while facing left-arm spin is not new and barring Kishan there is no left-hander in the side. Should have won the player of the match award instead of Daryl Mitchell who is another good pick considering his form in the last match. In the last game, he gave away just 20 runs and scored some crucial 19 runs at the back end of the innings. 

Sundar has improved his batting leaps and bounds in the past 12 months. Every time he comes out to bat in Indian colors he contributes heavily and at a quicker rate. He is also an economical bowler who bowls mostly in powerplay thus which could fetch us plenty of points in both departments in the d3.club .
