After prominent names from the Bollywood and Indian music industry slammed Dream 11's recent ad featuring Rishabh Pant, the Indian cricketer deleted the post from his social media handles.

Dream 11 released the ad during the recent T20 World Cup 2022, where Pant was seen performing a song badly in front of the microphones while posing like a wicketkeeper, as he was trying to become a classical singer, but at the end, he followed his dream of becoming a cricketer.

In the advertisement, Pant was seen saying, "Thank God, I followed my dream," while promoting the fantasy cricket app on television and all other social media platforms.

Well, this commercial didn’t go down well with many artists, as everyone from the classical musicians Kaushiki Chakraborty and Purbayan Chatterjee to the filmmaker Hansal Mehta slammed Dream 11 for disrespecting Indian classical music and artists.

Following a backlash on social media, Pant, who is already under the scanner for a streak of poor performances in white-ball cricket, deleted the ad from his Twitter account to avoid any further controversy.

Classical singer Kaushiki Chakraborty thanked Pant for removing the offensive ad from his social media on Twitter.

Kaushiki tweeted: “I want to thank @RishabhPant17  for deleting the Ad from his twitter account n also mention that I personally have nothing against him. I wish him all the best in life n also request him to help us get to the right authorities so that we can take the ad down from other platforms.”
