The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to name the Indian squad for the upcoming tour of New Zealand on Monday (October 31).
The Men in Blue are slated to tour New Zealand for six white-ball games next month. While the three-match T20I series will be played from November 18-22, the three ODIs will be held from November 25-30.
The matches will take place across six venues – Wellington, Mount Maunganui, Napier, Auckland, Hamilton, and Christchurch.
BCCI has confirmed that chief selector Chetan Sharma will address a press conference later in the evening to make the announcement.
According to the official release, the presser would commence around 6:30 PM (IST).
“Mr Chetan Sharma, Chairman of selectors of the All-India Senior Selection Committee will address a virtual press conference today to announce the squads for Team India’s upcoming tour of New Zealand.
“Date & Time: 31st October | 6:30 PM Indian Standard Time (approx),” the statement read.
Team India are currently taking part in the T20 World Cup 2022 Down Under. As of today, the Rohit Sharma-led side has won two of their three Super 12 games and is likely to make the semi-finals.
If the Indian team qualifies for the final, they will finish their T20 World Cup assignment on November 13 and then will fly to New Zealand for the white-ball fixtures.
